One of our lush dishgardens in our showroom
We are always asked how do I care for my dishgarden after I receive it? We always include care instructions with every delivery but we can’t fit everything on that little card! Here is a little more information on how to care for your beautiful dishgarden, so that you can enjoy the beauty of indoor plants in your home or office.
Light
• Moderately bright light preferred
• Protect from direct sun in the summer
• Place near sunny window in the winter
Water
• Moderately moist soil is preferred
• Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch
• Avoid over watering – Do not let stand in water
Temperature
• Tropical green plants prefer warm temperatures
• 70-72 degrees during the day
• 65-70 degrees at night
• Avoid excess heat or cold
Fertilize
• Fertilize periodically
• Trailing plants usually need a little trim after a month or two
• Taller plants can be tipped back to reduce height
The rate of growth depends upon the amount of light received.
The less light… The slower the growth.
It’s best to place plant containers in a location with the minimal amount of light the plants can tolerate.

We did a beautiful outdoor wedding recently and wanted to show off the gorgeous blooms! This bridal bouquet features white & purple colored calla lilies, purple and white roses, dark purple lisianthis, bells of ireland, and accented with green hypericum, green button chrysanthemums, and bear grass.

These beautiful plants are truly stunning and reflect the finest of taste when given as a gift. Elegant and timeless best describes the look of each individual plant. While no two are alike, it is truly a statement of opulence when displayed.
Orchids enjoy drinking water 1 to 2 times a week. They love keeping the bottom of the pot dry and free from swimming in water and adore subtle indirect lighting and good air circulation. Also, welcome a once or twice a month feeding with a liquid fertilizer. Dendrobiums, Cattleyas and Oncidiums enjoy bright indirect light. Phalaenopsis, Paphiopedilum, and Miltonias adore the shade. They also grow easily near a window or on a porch. Vandas and Ascocendas love lots of water; increase watering to 2 or 3 times a week. They enjoy bright indirect light.
Orchids like repotting every two years or when they have grown out of the pot. They enjoy growing roots in orchid bark or rocks. Do not use soil. For use as a gentle insecticide, Rubbing alcohol with 70% Isopropyl may be sprayed with a hand sprayer. This is gentle for the plant and bloom.

As most of us are getting ready for the long weekend. We at Casas Adobes wanted to wish you, family and friends a delightful and enjoyable 4th of July weekend. If you are planning a family BBQ or hanging out with friends at the park for the bright fireworks display, make it a patriotic one with a Let Freedom Ring Bouquet!

45th Annual Camden/Palo Verde 4th of July Parade
Corner of 1500 block of North Palo Verde Boulevard and Camden Street
8:30 a.m. parade registration; 9 a.m. parade begins
Since the early 1960s, Tucsonans have enjoyed this non-mechanized parade. Prizes and a pinata party follow. Free. Call 881-5018 for info.
July 4th Explosion Executive Inn and Suites

Meet Lourdes Equrrola. Another Arizona Master Florist on staff is Lourdes Equrrola. She brings over 25 years experience specializing in Elegant Weddings for the discriminating client. She is also the designer who clients ask for when they want the very best.
Meet Sarah Horton, she is the Design Manager at Casas Adobes. She has excellent customer service and an associate’s degree in horticulture. She will answer all of your questions with vast knowledge and a smile. Sarah is also our wedding consultant, she has great attention to detail and can assist you with the smallest to the largest of weddings.
Meet Calina Kent she has an associates degree in floral design and technology. She has over 14 years experience in the floral industry. She specializes in tropical, Hawaiian designs. As well as high style designs for corporate events. She is the designer of choice for a unique tropical design. Let Calina create an arrangement that will make you feel like you are in the tropics.
Meet Jeff Edwards he is our delivery driver. Jeff has been our driver since
2005. He will present your delivery in a very professional and courteous
manner. Think you have a tricky address or hard to find business just give
